Bronze of a dancing Faun.

These Italian style dancing fauns were unusual bronzes of the 19th Century and were much sort after by wealthy people in the stately homes of England.

This very attractive bronze is of a nude dancing faun with acorns adorning his hair. This is a copy of a bronze found in Pompeii in 1830. The Faun is delicately poised on a square base.
